On Wednesday, the Senate put together a bi-partisan ad-hoc committee to probe the assault allegations of a nursing mother against one of its members, Senator Elisha Abbo. Senator Sam Egwu, a former Governor of Ebonyi State will be heading the committee. The troubled Senator is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the red chambers. He was said to have allegedly slapped the nursing mother sometime in the month of May this year at a sex toy shop in Abuja.
